Let’s Go with the Project

It was a transition week, where I can say that I went from an introduction phase of the development world to a phase where I’m going to work as a developer on a real project.

Communication is more important than I think

Some weeks ago I had the opportunity to have a meeting with a client of “Red Hat”, I was not prepared for that but at this moment I noticed how important it is to have communication skills. The next few weeks I was working on my soft skills in different ways.

But this week I have another opportunity to have a session with a client again in a new project. I felt comfortable and motivated before the reunion but during the meeting something happened inside myself that I was like a ghost (I didn’t participate or ask).

I have learned that I need to work on my soft skills yet.

DevOps

I have been reading about Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery, because it’s a very important part that I will have you know to work on a new project this month.

I worked a little bit with DevOps two weeks ago and to be honest I hate it. The reason for this feeling was that I was learning how to deploy an application and had a lot of problems with these deployments.

I also worked with “Jenkins” and although I didn’t understand how it worked, I Implemented the whole process well. Not understanding is what I’m frustrated with.

This is the challenge to learn about DevOps.

Understanding the problem

The most important thing I learned this week. It was like processing and interpreting a problem with my team.

Obtain the requirements and imagine how to solve it as a team (implies complications).

Working alone has its advantages, but working as a team is always better when you know how to work and each member adapts to the team and not the team to a member.
